Minh on September 27, 2017 Location: Cupertino, California I bought this camera from Lorex' website to add to my LNR400 system, already with 6 cameras installed. The unit arrived perfectly packaged and all the required parts were included. It took me only a few minutes to install the bracket and mount the camera. Connecting the Ethernet cable (included) took a bit longer as I had to run it up the ceiling into the attic, then down into the closet where my switch unit was housed.

It came up without any difficulty, and the picture quality was great. The entire experience from order to delivery to installation was quick and painless. This is how a quality customer experience should look and feel like. Jimdog on August 16, 2017 Location: US I too received DNB23TF2 instead of LNB3143B-W.

I didn't notice the substitution until I already installed it. The biggest issue I had with the substitution is this camera has a different mount than the camera it replaced.

Instead of 4 holes, it only has 3. This created extra effort to install which would not have occurred if I received the product I ordered. The good news: the image quality of the DNB23TF2 is actually better than the camera it replaced. I am disappointed that I had to replace a camera that was just a little over 2 years old, but this is a good replacement. Glenn54 on August 14, 2017 Location: Upper Marlboro Maryland I ordered a pair of these and instead received a model #DNB23TF2. After several hours, I was finally able to reach cust serv and was told the listed model was no longer available!

Well then why is it listed on your website as 'New Product'? If you place an order with them for a specific model product and it is not available, they'll just ship you whatever they have in stock! Morning Glenn, In many cases, if the product suddenly becomes unavailable for any reason, we will ship a compatible unit. It can range from a Digimerge system/unit to even an upgraded version of a Lorex system. We're sorry if this created an inconvenience for you- it was not our intention.

If you would like, you can always contact our Online Sales department and they can provide alternative solutions and/or products. Gary on May 25, 2017 Location: Gravois Mills, MO One of my MCNB3153 cameras failed due to a broken Ethernet pin.

I called for help with repairing the camera but was disappointed that they wouldn’t provide any assistance and told me since the camera was out of warranty that I need to purchase a new LNB-3143 camera so I ordered this camera. The box was labeled as a 2MP camera and it seems to have more clarity than 3153 but it still shows as 1080. Overall happy with the new camera. Help with finding a solution to the broken pin would have been good customer service. On May 17, 2017 Location: Los Angeles, California Almost 1 year ago on I bought the following products from the Lorex Website. 1 - LNR168W/HD 1080p Security Camera System with 16 Channel NVR with 8 HD cameras 1 - LNB3143B-W/HD 1080p IP camera with night vision 5 - LNB3373B/HD 1080p 2MP Indoor/Outdoor Security Camera with Motorized Lens List of good things to say of these products and personal opinion In Regards to: 9 - LNB3143B-W/HD 1080p IP camera with night vision 1.)The cameras have a great HD recording quality at day and night.

I really have had a great experience with these cameras except that only 1 cam stopped working after 11 months so I had a warranty replacement. Recording angles are ok but wished it had a broader recording angle. 2.)With that said, the overall experience with these cameras are excellent. The remote live view and remote playback is great. Lag is very low and at times none at all if you have a good internet connection. Preferably always try to connect to Wi-Fi for a better remote live view.

My smartphone 4G LTE unlimited with T-Mobile is great and reliable but Wi-Fi is always better and more stable connection. 3.)If you have these cameras facing close to a public street you will be able to record license plates. 4.) I had to provide a copy of some video recordings to the Police Department on a crime that happened on the street and they were extremely surprised at the HD quality of the system recordings.

Multiple officers asked me where I purchased my system and said that they were going to get the same system for their homes. They said that they almost never come across with video footage this clear and in HD quality. Customer Support/ Tech Support Experience. It has been a good experience however it can and it should be better. I have lots of Warranty Concerns.

1.)My biggest concern is that my whole security system is covered with a 2 year warranty extension since I bought it directly on the Lorex website and I was told that I would. However, after talking to different customer support agents I was told that I only have 1 year warranty and other times when I call back I am told that I have 2 years.

2.)I was also told that I would be able to purchase an extended Warranty for all of my products any time before my Warranty expired and when I called to purchase an extended 5 year Warranty for my NVR I was told that I was unable to because I should have purchased it since the beginning. However, I called customer support when I bought my system and the agent told me that I could purchase the extended Warranty any time after the initial purchase but before the Warranty expired. 3.)Feels like to much false statements by different agents and or false advertisement on their website.

4.)I can’t seem to activate my warranty for all my products under my account at the Lorex website after multiple attempts and that is very frustrating since I was told it was the only way to activate and extend my 2 year warranty. 5.)I received an email from Lorex late April 2017 asking me to write a review of these products on their website and that if I did that they would be extending my Warranty of my Security System to a 3 year extended Warranty!

That is why, and only why that I took my time to write this review. I really hope that they honor their promise and send me some kind of extended 3 year Warranty Certificate of my Security System as proof for my records. Hope this review helps someone out there! Rob on February 14, 2017 Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada This camera is definitely not fully IP66 compliant. I installed 7 of these around my house just over a year and a half ago and have just had two fail in the past few weeks due to corrosion of the Ethernet connectors on the camera side. The 'gold' plating on the Ethernet connectors doesn't meet specifications and has basically corroded severely.

One camera failed because one of the POE connections corroded to the point where there's no electrical contact. The other camera failed on a different contact and now doesn't transmit data. These cameras were both installed well underneath the overhang of my roof and NEVER see water of any kind. Completely sheltered from snow and rain. How did they fail? Well these 'IP66' rated cameras rotted away simply due to ambient humidity.

Pretty pathetic. The Ethernet cables running to the cameras are still perfectly new looking with bright, shiny gold contacts. Obviously manufactured properly with good gold plating on the contacts. It's the cheap LOREX camera connectors that now have brown corrosion.

Obiviously NOT gold plated properly and NOT weather resistant. Give me a break!

They should have survived ~18 months outside sheltered underneath a roof. IP66 rating does NOT corrode away in 18 months due to humidity levels in Canada. I live in Waterloo. So no we don't even have salt water nearby. We don't even have a lake. I didn't bother putting any other sealing on the connections because of LOREX's claims plus the fact that these are sheltered really well and are NEVER exposed to water.

Really regretting trusting that claim. So now I'm faced with 2 out of 7 cameras that have failed in awkward locations (second floor) and probably have more about to fail with the same problem. Really great failure rate after a very short period of time for cameras that cost a lot isn't it? Hopefully they don't fail before I can get up to them ASAP in the spring and lubricate the contacts with dielectric silicone.

Maybe LOREX you should tell people to do this since your product isn't truly outdoor resistance whatsoever. I'm pretty disgusted with the quality. Obviously your plating is cheap and you have no quality control over your supplier. On another note, your documentation sucks. Your quick installation sheet says you can reset the camera, and refers you to a section that doesn't exist.

The camera doesn't have an external reset button. Worse yet, your recently released new version of this camera has the same mistake on the documentation since you just cut-and-pasted it and changed the model number.

Really careless. Thank you for submitting your review on our website.

We're sorry you're having issues with the cameras. They are in fact IP66 rated but you should not have the connectors exposed to the elements, they should be sealed if they are outdoor. The cameras themselves can withstand various weather conditions. Our support team was happy to assist you further with this. Dan on August 4, 2016 Location: Shreveport, Louisiana Lorex replaced incorrect cameras. The process should have taken a month and been simpler for the customer. I now have eight cameras connected to the Lorex 8 channel NR8081, through a 8 port PoE switch.

The 1080 night vision and day color is excellent. Far better than I ever expected. This home system is superior to he commercial system installed at my place of employment.

I am hopeful Lorex improves its online tech support, chat support, and telephone support. I suggest they contact Dell.

Experience has shown Dell product support has improved dramatically in the past 10 years. I would like to personally thank the last lorex support customer service rep who personally got involved, solved my problem and followed up. Dan on July 23, 2016 Location: Shreveport, Louisiana Did not receive the cameras I ordered.

Seemed to be an older version. Technical Support said I would receive two replacement cameras in 5 days. Received only 1 replacement camera after 3 weeks. Now I must start the process all over again.

The replacement camera and the first cameras are of exceptional quality. The Technical and Customer Support persons are the worst I have ever encountered. In addition I have tried to use the online Chat and it is never answered. I reccomend Lorex if you do not need support. On June 29, 2016 Location: Long Island NY These cameras performed quite well. My only issue is that I had one that was clearly blurry. After repeated attempts to clean the lens to cure the issue I realized it must be the camera.

I went online and logged into my account. I went to warrantees, and selected returns and replacements. Then I selected 'replace an item under warrantee' I selected the Camera type I wished to return,Gave a brief description as to why I wanted a replacement. It had all my information right there and selected one of the four I purchased. After sometime I was approved by email and It provided a link to a UPS label which I printed then shipped the Item for back for replacement.

After 2 weeks I had not received any further feedback so I called Lorex and I was told I did it incorrectly and need to call Tech support first to get a ticket number then get approval on a warrantee replacement. It has been 3 weeks since I shipped the item back with absolutely no resolve of the issue. Overtime I call the same woman asks me for the same information as though I did not exist or ever purchased the item. It's extremely frustrating, Im hoping she was able to elevate my case to higher management and get this resolved before the end of the summer. I like the camera but want the defective one replaced. Thank you for your feedback.

Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. We were happy to get this resolved for you. Harry on October 13, 2015 Location: San Jose, CA I am using this camera with NVR 101 series model. The picture is nice and clear = Yes. But it cannot read the license plate number even place the camera very close to the road. The camera face direction to the car about 150 feets but cannot see the number even I try to zoom it already.

I am very dissappoint about it. I come back here not for to write the review, I just want to find the better camera than this model but i don't seee any different better Lorex company offer now. So just write something here for customer and the company know the problem.

Jimdog on May 5, 2015 Location: Delaware My original bundle of 4 + 2 add-on cameras were all LNB3143B. I purchased two more cameras for a total of 8 and got these LNB3153B. Motion detection is not working properly on these 53B cameras. Getting false motion events constantly. Works just fine on the 43B cameras.

Returning them to get 2 more of the 43B cameras. Had to get the 43B cameras from a dealer since they are not available on-site. Technical support was good. I'll update this review based on how smoothly the return process goes. JC Lopez on April 30, 2015 Location: Miami Daytime image is great, night vision not so much, but I still can recognize who is in the picture. I had the system for a couple of weeks and it's been hard to calibrate the motion detect recording, because there's a lot of vegetation that moves with the wind starting the recording and it's hard to make the areas without vegetation in the picture to work by themselves.

There are also a lot of mosquitos at night that fly right in front of the camera setting off the motion detect. The day after, there is so much recording to go through.

I'll keep trying other settings on the screen areas and camera sensibilities. Working on the NVR is pretty easy once you get to know all of the features. The problem is when i try to run it from a PC, it keeps desconecting and I have broadband at home. Jimdog on April 18, 2015 Location: Delaware I purchased the 4 camera bundle with the LNR400 series NVR about 3 weeks ago. I added two more when ordering the bundle.

I just purchased 2 more yesterday which will give me a total of 8. Torrent Onone Perfect Photo Suite 8 Coupon there. Installation was incredibly easy. The hard part was running the cables neatly. The motion detection works very well. Be patient, it takes time to fine tune it.

I've been tweaking the system a little each day and have reached a good balance with the alarm e-mails. The snapshots sent by e-mail alerts are incredible. I've just recently changed the recording to motion only, and it's working out great. Things that can be improved: The CAT5 cables are pretty cheap and are wound up so tight that it takes forever to unwind them. You can't groom them so they look good, so I put them inside a Techflex 1' sleeve. Just yesterday, Google updated Chrome and the web browser plugins don't work any more. Still works for Firefox and IE.

Hopefully Lorex will fix this and release new firmware/plugins. I also question the purpose of the 'default' user. Why can't I change the password? Makes me a bit nervous that it's there for backdoor access. Still waiting on an answer to this.

All in all, I'm happy with these cameras. PoE (Power over Ethernet) is the way to go, makes for an easy install. Picture quality is excellent. Night vision works well especially since the building has a lot of exterior lighting. The NVR interface is well done and has tons of functionality.

Scott on March 10, 2015 Location: Florida Purchase the 4 camera HD system everything working better than expected, love the picture quality during the day and night was amazing. However after 24 hours one camera stopped working. Currently working with LOREX tech support on a replacement camera plus they offered a 20% discount on all future purchases. Set-up was easy, might be why the full down load directions were not included. Just a easy set up page is all you need! Battlefield 1 Pc Game Download Free. Tech support was GREAT double checking everything to make sure it wasn't something simple.

Re-checked connections tried plugging in cat5 cable to another port to see if that works however still did not work plus getting an RMA # set up to replace the camera. I will upgrade my rating once I see the new camera working correctly. Regards, Scott.

On February 22, 2015 Location: South Central Texas I have installed six of these cameras. The night vision is excellent. I have added powerful LED motion sensor lights from Home Depot; so strong that the night vision is in color with these cameras. When the ms lights are off, the ir cameras still do a remarkable job of night vision. I purchased a 150 ft.

Roll of direct burial cable from Amazon to extend one camera to an outbuilding. The results were excellent, and longer direct burial rolls are available. These cameras are worth the price. The service is excellent.

How does it compare?
