Taylormade R11s Driver Fct Settings Chart

The TaylorMade R11S driver was built for a world where one-size-fits-all simply doesn’t, and this tends to be especially true in the world of golf. This upgrade to the R11 driver brings with it 460 cubic centimeters of club head and 32 more settings than its predecessor, which may leave a golfer new to adjustable drivers scratching their head trying to find their optimal settings. The beauty, as well as the curse, of the R11S is that it was designed to work for a wide range of golfers – determining the optimum settings for your game will require some patience and dialing-in (or a professional fitting). To help you get your driver in order, we’ll explain what each setting does and how it can affect your game. Flight Control Technology The FCT on the R11S allows you to adjust the loft of your head by as much as 1.5 degrees, using one of eight settings.

By adjusting the angle of your clubhead ever so slightly, you can get a higher loft that will give your ball more air or tune it down for a lower loft and a straighter shot. Once you’ve got it dialed in, the. Adjustable Sole Plate Technology If your driver’s face angle needs an adjustment, look no further than the ASP. Five settings give you a six-degree range of motion and you can choose to open or close the face of your club without affecting the loft. Moveable Weight Technology Two moveable weights in the clubhead allow you to shift the center of gravity as needed. Although this has been a feature in TaylorMade clubs for years, it’s not a point to ignore. Moving the weight toward the toe will encourage more fade; moving the weight to the heel encourages draws. With the right center of gravity, you may discover you’re finding the fairway more often. The R11S is an incredible driver for all levels of golfers, especially those who want the flexibility to adjust their driver on the fly based on swing changes or for different courses, but there is no single set of optimum settings – each tweak changes the way the driver works with your individual swing. Although this club is nothing short of amazing when used properly, it may cause many golfers to doubt their settings and end up frustrated as they constantly tweak and test. If you’re a casual player, the TaylorMade R11S can be overwhelming for some as some say it’s not a grab and go kind of driver.

Many golfers will be just as happy – and play just as well – with drivers that offer little to no customization. Keep in mind the R11S can be that as well, just leave the settings on factory neutral and go out and play. Once you start to get comfortable on the neutral settings, then you can make slight adjustments as you continue to play.

Do not feel as though you need attempt to fix your club every time out on the course. There is no question that whether you tinker with the settings or not the R11S has improved many golfers driving abilities and scores!

8 Things to Know About Adjusting Your Taylor Made R15 Driver Settings.Review by by Derek Murray at ForeGolf August 2015 ARTICLE UPDATE: We’ve conducted even more R&D on the R15, Read the latest March 2015 Last month we wrote an but here’s some tips on how to adjust the TaylorMade R15 Driver. You will find some similarities of the new R15 Driver to the SLDR driver and Jet Speed drivers of last season. There are two moveable parts to the R15 Driver 1) the hosel sleeve where the shaft goes 2) the two silver sliding weights on the sole The sleeve on the R15 works a lot like the SLDR driver and Jet Speed drivers of last season where you can open the screw at the neck and rotate the head. The sliding weight looks a lot like the SLDR but now splits in half so you can better position the weight 8 Things to Know About Adjusting Your Taylor Made R15 Driver. There are 12 different positions/notches around the hosels circumference. Each notch creates a different angle/position of the head.

There is a small dark arrow on the hosel to show where you need to set the hosel position to have that setting take effect.. The LOWER position creates a lower launching ball flight and it also opens the face – more fade to the right for a R/H golfer.. The HIGHER setting creates a higher launching ball flight and closes the angle of the face – more draw to the left for a R/H golfer.. The UPRT LIE (upright) setting allows for the current flatter lie of the R15 to be adjusted to a more upright angle for taller golfers, that visually need to see a more upright angled head. This setting also helps golfers that need a neutral/square face angle but need to create more draw on their shots.. There are notches between the different settings which are the incremental changes towards that setting.

So for instance if you want the head to be a little UPRIGHT and a little LOWER flighted – then position the hosel at the notch between the two settings.. As the hosel affects the head angle and in turn the ball flight, coordinating the right shaft flex, tip and specifically the correct torque of the shaft is very important. The way the head turns or releases through impact are controlled with the help of torque.

As a rough guide if you need less movement or a firmer feel use a low torque and if you need a more active feel go for a higher torque.. The sliding weights on the sole are not as effective for influencing the left to right (Fade) or right to left (Draw) spin axis on the ball. They are actually better suited to increase speed and lower spin on the ball. From our testing the weights should be placed each side of where you hit the ball on the face. Capture where your strikes are on the face using face tape or spray and then split the weights and align them so they sit each side of the strike marks (even if they are off-centre). Do this, and watch the ball speed increase and the stability of the clubhead improve..

This might sound simple but there are Right and Left sleeves. Make sure your sleeve is a R/H one if you are right handed and a L/H one if you are left handed.

It’s printed on the sleeve with a simple R/H and L/H so you can check.. What can you do to get the BEST from the R15? I've dreamt of a trip to ForeGolf with a few years now. I got the opportunity (thanks to a Christmas/Birthday present combo) and every expectation was blown out of the water. The facility is second to none. I was being fit for a putter, however I will be going back once my irons need upgrading as the range of specifications and build quality is truly awe inspiring. Having a massive interest in the technology behind the products themselves I could only describe the whole process as dreamland.

I had a great conversation about all things golf with Derek beforehand and my putter fitting with Dave on Trackman 4 was massively insightful into the advantages and spec differences between each model I tried and all explained simply and effectively.
