Optional footswitch. (See accessory box on this page.). OUTSTANDING value! I've been playing for 20 years and I've owned a lot of guitars and amps and let me tell you. This thing is VERY impressive, esp for the money.

I'm not going. I've been playing for 20 years and I've owned a lot of guitars and amps and let me tell you. This thing is VERY impressive, esp for the money.

I'm not going to waste your time trying to convince you that this has the power of a modded Marshall half stack or that it has a warmer or deeper sound than than your favorite Fender Twin, but it is a very versatile and very mature product. Strengths: Flexability! All those models and all those effects combinations. Techy guys will be distracted for hours. The presets are OK, but I think you really need to get in there and do some tweaking to find the best sounds. Good range of amp models to play with. They may not all impress every user, but there is an impressive range.

Most of the effects are very usable and you have control over several parameters unlike most other amps at this price point. Weaknesses: Limited effects combinations. I'd really like a delay and reverb at the same time. And it can't quite keep up with a drummer really doing his thing. I haven't had any issues with the input jack. Comparisons: Compared to the Line 6 Spider II 12'.

It isn't really a comparison. Other than sheer volume, the Vox owns.

MUCH more natural and weightier sound. Effects are better and you have more control over them. With the Line 6, on Insane with the gain maxed, you get great sustain, but little else. It seems like a beginner's toy compared to the Vox. The Fender Frontman might sound slightly better on the 'clean but almost breaking up', but can't match the versatility and you'll need a decent distortion box.

Basically, if you are over 16 years old and looking for a very respectable amp that is very easy to lug around and has a lot of versatility because you play more than just the Metallica sound, this is your amp! Not great either. POSITIVE: It's not a bad amp. Download Ost Architecture 101 Mp3. The effects are nice. Most of the models are not bad. The clean channels are a very nice feature.

If you don't care about a metal. POSITIVE: It's not a bad amp. The effects are nice.

Most of the models are not bad. The clean channels are a very nice feature. If you don't care about a metal or chunky squared-off sound, this amp is probably a good deal. NEGATIVE: For the money, there are better amps out there that provide the sound I want. I don't like this amp's attempts at distortion. It just doesn't sound right, and it keeps cutting in and out. Also, you can't play near the amp, or you get massive feedback whines and even worse microphonic feedback just in playing.

I would think this is normal, except that I have played right next to other amps that didn't produce this effect and sounded WAY better on the distortion channel. Speaking of distortion, the 'numetal' setting is pretty bad, IMO. It sounds bubbly/foamy (different frequencies cut in and out). I have had this amp for 25 days and I'm very likely to take it back. I'd rather have something that gives me the range of sound that I want, even if it has less features.

This amp doesn't do that. Also, the warranty is pretty lacking (90 days to a year), compared with what else is out there. Most of the other top brands have at least a 2 year warranty, the average is 5 years. I've been playing for 20 years and I've owned a lot of guitars and amps and let me tell you.

Basically, if you are over 16 years old and looking for a very respectable amp that is very easy to lug around and has a lot of versatility because you play more than just the Metallica sound, this is your amp! Here's the scoop on this amp. Take the Vox Tone Lab modeler and put a 30 Watt amp and speaker behind it (with a real tube in the output section) and you have one flexible great sounding amp.

There is even an attenuator in the output so you can drive the tube hard for cool distortion sounds but keep the volume low. The amp does Fender clean to Marshall heavy and is an excellent amp to begin with if you are just getting started. There are also all of the popular pedal effects included. Again this amp sounds great, is very flexible and won't break the bank. The amp i had before this mightaswell be a can that noise came out of compared to this. Warning some of the amp models ( numetal and us hi gain) really have muddy distortion and are just bad. The good chanels are the uk amps and the ac30 for rock and hard rock they have rich creamy and crunchy distortion fit for any ac/dc fan.

The effects are ok some kinda suck but the best feture is the noise gate it works well and keeps the palm mutes quite. Read the manual it helps a ton!!!!!!!!!!! It can get confusing overall great rock/hard rock amp.

I played semi-professionally up to 1989, and I'm just now getting back to it. With a tight budget in mind, this amplifier was recommended to me. I am definitely impressed.

The sound and modeling options are outstanding along with the construction. At 30 watts and from low to full volume, there is no to hardly any distortion. This is especially true if you like your sound fairly clean without too much in the way of effects. Sure, if you play professionally, and/or you abuse your equipment, you will want something more substantial and you will pay accordingly.

For the rest of us however, this is a fine amplifier. It truly is much better than I expected. Alright I was originally going to buy the Vox AD50VT because i thought the 30w wasn't going to be loud enough but man was i wrong, this thing is freaking loud for a 30! The effects are really cool and the presets are pretty nice too.

I mostly use the Numetal preset and the uk modern but it feels like it needs more gain for that really in your face metal but I am so freaking happy with this thing and my new guitar: I have a epiphone ebony korina explorer with a seymour duncan sh-6 in the bridge and this thing is just perfect for me. So if want a good amp and cant make too much noise around the house than i recommend this amp big time; dont be fooled by what i said about not making too much noise around the house because this thing is really loud!

Go buy it, its the best amp you can get in this price range and it is so much better than the marshall it's not even funny so get this amp right now. A fellow guitarist purchased the Vox Valvetronix AD30VT recently and I had the opportunity to play/record with it.

I was amazed by the versatile tone the amp could produce. From clean to heavy distortion, the amp generated outstanding, crisp, and true tone across the board. The amp is perfect for studio/home recordings, jamming, and practice. It would be difficult to find an amp with as many features and quality for the price. I highly recommend this amp, I don?t believe you would be disappointed! While the actual working of the amp is admittedly confusing, it is well worth learning how to use.

The pre-amp options come with some very nice sounds including the boutique OD, UK amps, and tweed allow for quality tones. One of my favorite features is the ability to customize the pre-amps and even create your own. However, the biggest difference between this and my previous amp is the dial in back that controls how much wattage is used so you can crank the amp full power and still have a controlled, full tone. You can pay a bunch of money for a collection of antique amps but this one single amp contains a solid collettion of amp models all of which sound great. It has everything from Blackface to Nu Metal.

There are 11 in total and all of them can be adjusted to your liking. It really brings out the best in all of my guitars, strats and les pauls alike. So whether you want a versatile practice amp or just an upgrade over your beginner amp this amp is a perfect buy. You can't go wrong with an amp that brings amazing sound and multiple amp models.
