If you purchased MacGourmet Deluxe 3.0 directly from Mariner or an affiliate, your database will be automatically updated. How can you tell if you purchased it from Mariner or an affiliate? Check to see if you have a serial number. Launch the application, go to About MacGourmet. If you see a number that begins with GD300 – you’ve purchased it from us.

If you do not see a serial number, then your version of MacGourmet Deluxe 3 was purchased from the Mac App Store. If you want to upgrade, contact customer service [sales@marinersoftware.com] and they will assist you.

I have MacGourmet, can I upgrade to MacGourmet Deluxe 4? If you have MacGourmet 2 or 3, you can take advantage of this new version. It will be easy to move from version 2 and 3 to version 4. If you have an earlier version of MacGourmet, because of technical reasons, you will have to upgrade to version 2 or 3 in order to install and run MacGourmet Deluxe 4.0. We would love to be able to have you go from version 1 to 4, but, in the world of software, that leap is just too big. Too many promised features just don’t work. Their support and updates have been unacceptably slow over the many years I’ve used it. It can’t import from many of the recipe sites I use and every time a website updates their code, you have to wait for months or even years to get functionality back, if ever. I suggest looking for something else. This is a pattern with this program and Mariner Software in general that I have unfortunately grown all too familiar with.
